Is photography allowed in Northern Cyprus?

In Turkey and Northern Cyprus, photographing military or security-related objects is strictly prohibited and can lead to high fines, seizure of equipment, or even imprisonment. It is also advisable not to photograph seemingly civilian buildings near military facilities. During security checks, authorities may often request the deletion of such photos.

It is recommended to only take photos at clearly permitted tourist sites and exercise extra caution in border areas.
